We decided it was time to update our constitution so we voted on a variety of amendments, primarily the introduction of Co-Presidents and a way in which we can remove officers from committee. We also updated our Safety Statement and approved our budget for next year! Of course, we also had our Core Committee election!   Congratulations to the New Committee members! Book Swap!
Similar so our wildly successful Swapping Spraoi with the UL Fashion Society, we hosted our very own Book Swap Shop on March 28th. We asked our members to bring in their books that they have read or simply no longer want and they could swap them for another book somebody else didn't want or had already read. Again, the aim of this event was to reduce waste, promote sustainability and of course promote books!

Swapping Spraoi
In honour of Seachtain na Gaeilge and in collaboration with the UL Fashion Society, Envirosoc hosted it's first ever "Swapping Spraoi"! We had 2 collection days in Week 7 which looked very promising as we had so many donations and about 10-15 people bringing in clothes by the bag!  The actual Swap Shop last Wednesday was so much fun and we really enjoyed working with the Fashion Society. People were coming in and out all day between 9.30am and 2.30pm, we even had few members of our Stude ...

About Environmental Society

Welcome to the Environmental Society!

Our first meeting this year is on Thursday 18th September at 6pm in The Student Life Building.

All are welcome to learn more about the society.

We hope to take part in green initiatives on campus, go on wildlife field trips, have some amazing guest speakers and have lots of craic along the way!

As we are basically starting from scratch this year we want you to shape how this year goes. Got any ideas? As long as they are somewhat related to the environment, we will try to get them done!
