It is 20euro per team of 4, cash paid on the night! All the proceeds will go towards fundraising for our upcoming Battle of the Bands Intervarsity in Cork!

There will be lots of prizes to be won on the night, as well as of course fun to be had! There will also be live performances during half-time, so it will be a great night to end RAG week!

Techno Tuesday is where our Music Society DJs showcase their ability to mix music using advanced DJ gear. This week is Week 3 where WillyXO and Eamo go B2B (back to back) rotating songs back and forth all night.

Wether it be singing, playing an instrument or even both at the same time, come along to our Open Mic Night! 

This is a great chance to gain some experience and confidence performing in front of a crowd! All members are welcome and encouraged to attend! 

This is an open and safe space for everyone! It is ACOUSTIC ONLY but all genres are welcome! You may even hook up your phone (youtube is great) to the desk to play your own backing tracks.

With open mic on Monday nights, you will get hands-on experience of setting up for a live performance. **NB** if you are a DJ that wants to play in the Stables Club is it mandatory to come to training before you perform.

Pauric is an independent singer songwriter from Co. Tipperary, based in Dublin. He has been making his mark on the Irish music scene for quite a few years. His raw, powerful vocal has been known to grab people’s attention, and the uptempo groove that accompanies keeps it. This Semi-Acoustic group promises to bring an interesting night of music to the Stables this semester!

The incredible Under Starling return to our stage on their MURMURATION TOUR, this time with support from Columbia. Gonna be an epic night folks, get in early to avoid dissapointment.

Some business of electing new committee members followed by a presentation on the society and what we do and then a social night for new members to get to know the committee and their fellow members. Hope to see everyone there.

The UL Music Societies will be hosting their Annual General Meeting and first members social night of the year on Monday 8th September in the ULSU Room 3 from 8pm. 

On the night we will discuss the plans for the year and explain what the society is all about. Following that we will have a socializing night, sign any pending members up and get to know each other over free pizza!
Plan is to continue onto Stables for the Trad session and a social night

we'll be starting Studio Production classes in the Music Room from 4-6pm. This is a great chance to learn some tips and tricks about Studio work. You don't need to bring any of your own equipment, but if you want to bring some examples of mixes you've done, feel free. All levels of experience are welcome as I'll be tailoring the classes to the people in attendance.

UL Music Societies and The Stables Club presents the absolutely incredible Stranger Phases! Following the release of their highly anticipated EP, Life.Never.Peace. in January, these guys are not to be missed!

The UL Music Societies will be hosting their first UL Music Week this academic year!!!

The week will see a number of acts playing in UL at the Stables club and Scholars Cafe, as well as a number of activities (TBA) taking place in the SU during the week.

Most notably this week will see ULMS host Sharon Shannon (Tuesday ) and King Kong Company (Thursday) in the Stables Club. Tickets are €6 for members and €8 for general and can be purchased online at www.ulmsshop.com

The UL Music Societies will host the Cider Wasps in the Stables Club.

  An original band from Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. They play mostly well-known covers at our longer gigs with our own original songs thrown into the mix.

Their music consists of strong harmonising vocals with all 4 members singing, melodic and distorted guitar riffs and a mix of heavy drum beats and basslines. They draw influence from the likes of Kings of Leon and Biffy Clyro when it comes to writing their own music.
