Hello friendly minions, happy Sunday !
Tomorrow at 6pm, I'm going to offer advice and examples on how to win over €30,000 while being a member of the ULCES Society THIS YEAR.
A few fun facts
No, you don't need to be like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, or the Collins' Brothers... All of you have already taken the first step.
No, I won't quote from TED talks or play any at the presentation - but I can recommend some if ye like .
It will be a relatively short and engaging evening where you can get advice on any ideas you may have generated from our events so far or elsewhere (no judgement)
We will show you that the same thing is being asked across most competitions and that it doesn't require nearly as much work as an essay, or writing this announcement.
With all that in mind, come and say hello to myself and Dr. Briga Hynes, the latter will give you exclusive industry insights and make sure I don't give ALL the answers away.
We will be there from 6pm in KBG16 tomorrow, so don't forget to attend to potentially win €30k.
May the cash be with you™ (I wish I could trademark that),

This unique programme of development is forged from a combination of psychology, coaching, and blended learning. Each organisation, team, and its people have their own set of values, passions, challenges and goals. I work alongside businesses to enable leaders and teams to re-engage with themselves, stripping back limiting behaviours and thought processes, to encourage meaningful decision-making which powers innovation, growth, and success – whatever success means to those individuals or teams.
If your organisation is facing the ‘torture’ of misaligned agendas, miscommunication, poor leadership, or lack of clarity in business vision; then this programme of development can support the changes needed at every level, to move to ‘title’.
I provide a suite of leadership development coaching programmes, drawing on my experiences both on and off the pitch, empowering the leadership of teams leaving them united and producing outstanding results.
My personalised programmes focus on what you are looking to achieve in your business and the outcomes you want for yourself and your team, usually through workshop-based sessions. Each session is highly interactive, engaging and enjoyable.
Unsurprisingly, the common pitfalls and challenges facing business teams are not far removed from what we see in sport. By utilising my skills from business, sport and mental health, I leave you and your business with:
A Powerful Team Identity
Efficient Decision Making
Effective Communication
Harmony Across Your Organisation
Elevated and Fulfilling Performance
Values Centred
Innovative & Creative
Progressive Leadership

EntreSTEM – merging Entrepreneurial thinking to STEM to solve real-world problems workshop
Date and Venue: 27th October 2021, Kemmy Business School KBG16; Also hosted on Zoom
Overview
Career paths in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines are increasingly entrepreneurial whether a new enterprise or intrapreneurial which is developing new ideas, products, services and processes in existing organizations. Furthermore, it is likely that the engineering and science students of today are preparing for jobs that do not currently exist and thus need to be able to flexible and adaptable to work in areas beyond their core discipline expertise. Despite these trends STEM curricula do not regularly include a grounding in entrepreneurship with an emphasis on innovation and invention to prepare for the 21st century workforce.
Adding an entrepreneurial mindset, a way of thinking and innovation tools in STEM contexts are proven to increase student awareness of broader career opportunities in STEM plus developing future work skills such as creative thinking, problem solving, flexibility, resilience, a growth mindset and the ability to manage risk and uncertainty. Merging the best of both STEM and Entrepreneurship will provide STEM graduates with a key competitive advantage in the workplace of the future
EntreSTEM workshop - What the session will cover
· Entrepreneurial thinking and STEM ‘EntreSTEM’ – two sides of the same coin – merging the best of both
· Developing future career ready STEM skills set, mindset and behaviours -the benefits of Entrepreneurial thinking
· EntreSTEM Career opportunities – not all about your own business – the many opportunities that exist for STEM graduates with entrepreneurial mindsets – some good examples

In ever-changing unpredictability, young entrepreneurs and innovators are crucial to growing the economy and improving society through the creation of new ideas and improving current processes and system. This short and interactive session will empower and inspire students to pursue their passions and curiosities no matter their academic background and embraces the idea that diversity is a strength when it comes to idea generation, innovation, and creativity. Successful entrepreneurs, educators and policy makers will share insights into what’s crucial for graduates who want to stay ahead in this ultra-competitive market and be viewed as entrepreneurial and creative. No previous experience in business or entrepreneurship required.
Also...
Discover your passion for entrepreneurship by validating the ideas you've always had. No idea is a bad idea, and being a "business" student is DEFINITELY NOT a requirement. Members will see additional information on our SULIS site, but it can be emailed to prospective members/ competition participants. Email president@ules.ie to register if you're not a member
