Have you ever wondered what Dungeons and Dragons is all about?
"What's the deal with the dice? Why are they dressed like wizards? Where is the board to play on? How does this whole thing work?"
If you've never played D&D before, or are interested in discovering more about the game (and it's many years of history) this is the event for you!
We're going to start from the very beginning in getting you playing D&D, so all you need to bring with you is an open mind and a hint of imagination, we'll handle the rest!
If you're keen to run the game as the Dungeon Master we can also teach you from scratch how to plan your story and play it out at the table!
If you're looking to make new friends, and have your own weekly in-person event, and get meeting people again after that whole Covid thing, Dungeons and Dragons is the thing for you!
Throughout the semester we plan to cover every aspect of the game, from an "Intro to D&D", to Building Characters, Writing Character Backstories, Party Dynamics, Spellcasting and How It Works, The History of D&D, DMing, Encounter Building, World Building, Running Adventure Modules, and more!
Feel free to call in any week, as we'll always go over the basics of the game just for you to make sure you're up to speed!
Throughout the semester we will also be running campaigns and one-off adventures so keep an ear open for when those are available!
When you arrive, just ask for Cathal ("CAH-HAL") and he'll have you rolling critical hits in no time! Be sure to sign up for UL Games Society on the UL Wolves website before attending, and pay your annual €5 membership fee online or at the door.
