Hello everyone!

I hope your week's going great so far! We're back on board in growing this Club into its grand potential! I would like to welcome you to this year's Table Tennis AGM & Networking Event on Wednesday, October 8th at 18:30/6:30 pm in KBG 13! We have a couple Core Committee and Sub-Committee Positions open for you (our Full Members) to join, in running this Club! We will be following up with a Networking Event right after with Pizzas and (non-alcoholic) drinks! Most of you have probably already received an email about this in more detail from us!

Sign your interest by booking a spot on our Events Page or WhatsApp Community so we can estimate the number of pizzas and drinks to order!

The Nomination & Election Process

We will be trying something new this year!

Please sign your interest & nominate yourself under My Memberships on ulwolves.ie

  • We'll be holding a short presentation about some of the club's statistics, goals, committee role duties and how we will train you to make this task seem less daunting! (This goes on your PVA portfolio and is a big flex which you can show off!)
  • Nominations then close and we will initiate the voting process on ulwolves.ie. We will guide you through this process. I promise you, this will be a non-stressful Wednesday Evening.

If you have any questions, come join our WhatsApp Community under our Club page on the wolves page. We'll be more than happy to answer any :) We're looking forward on seeing you this Wednesday October 8th at 18:30/6:30 pm in KBG 13!

Setting Up and Putting Away Tables

Posted 4th Oct 2023
Author JOSEPH CLARO (Secretary)

Hi all,

A few things to keep in mind when dealing with the tables:

- Setting up each table-half is a two-person job. Roll each table-half out to the sprint track, then fold out each pair of legs with one person at either side.

- Ensure the diagonal supports on the legs are securely 'clacked' into place, whether folded up or folded down.

- When the legs are set up, lift the table-half off the ground with a partner, rotate it, and set it down. Do not pivot the table-half over its legs, as this will damage both the legs and the sprint track surface.

- Minimise scraping tables against any surfaces, including dragging wheels sideways, and dragging halves together the club has been warned before about damaging the sprint track!

- When rolling tables away and storing them at the end of a session, remember wood against wood, metal against metal.

If you have any questions or are unsure just ask, or send a message into the club groupchat :)

Joseph
