Over the weekend, we had 35 swimmers from the Swim Club head up to University of Galway's pool for an evening of racing.
We saw some great performances, PB's and lot's of improvement. Our swimmers showed us how hard they have been working in the water and on land to get to their respective levels.
We are looking forward to more outings like this where we can showcase the talent our swimmers have. Thanks to UG for a great evening and a massive well done to all our swimmers!!
Also a reminder that tonight we have our social night in Cask, bring your best halloween costume!

Our first teaming bonding session of the year took place last week in Castle Connell. Our swimmers took a cold plunge into the River Shannon and warmed back up again in the serenity sauna. It was a great social and recovery session for everyone and no doubt we will be back again soon!

This year's AGM for the club was a huge success, with 11 new commitee members chosen to help imporve the club for this year!
Members of the swim club met in the Jonathan Swift Theatre at 6PM and the meeting was kicked off by the club Chairperson Chris Coughlan saying a few words. Chris outlined all the events that took part last year and the events which we hope to be taking part in this year! We are looking forward to a competition eah semester and a couple of social nights out too. The new commitee members were then chosen, with lots of interest being shown in the commitee positions.
With getting off to such a great start, and having so many new members in comparison to this time last year, expectations for the club are as high as ever!
Stay tuned and stay fresh!
