Munster Bursury Applications - Live News: notice

Applications for the Munster Third Level Bursary 2026/27 are now Open! In order to apply, you must a full-time student in UL, be an active participant in UL GAA Club and be from the province of Munster.

Criteria for selection is not limited to playing. Considerations will be made for those involved in coaching and club administration also. The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday the 2nd of October 2026.

All Applications are online this year and no forms will be accepted on paper to the GAA Office. Applications close at 5pm on Ocober 2nd.

 1. Eligibility Status

  • Must be a registered member of the GAA.
  • Must attend a full-time higher education course.
  • Must be an active participant in your college's GAA club.


2. Constraints and Rules

  • Cannot hold any other GAA-related or college scholarship or bursary at the same time.
  • Senior inter-county players on a senior county panel must apply through the Gaelic Players Association instead. 


3. Award Value and Limits

  • Valued at €750 per year.
  • Paid in two separate instalments.
  • Limited to a maximum of two successive years per student. 


4. Selection Criteria

  • Selected based on your playing, coaching, or administrative contributions to your club and college.
  • Specific awards are reserved for students who excel in coaching and administration roles.
