UL Racing & Motorsport Society picked up a major win at this year’s Clubs & Societies Ball, taking home Society Event of the Year 2025/2026 for our UK 10-Hour Endurance Trip.

The award was announced on the night of the C&S Ball, where societies from across the university came together to celebrate the year’s highlights. For ULRM, it was a proud moment and a great way to recognise what was a standout event for the society.

Our UK trip was a big milestone, marking the first time ULRM travelled overseas as a group. With 13 members making the trip, we competed in a 10 hour endurance race at Daytona Milton Keynes and also attended the Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch.

Pulling off a trip like this took a lot of planning and teamwork, from organising travel and logistics to managing two teams in a full endurance race. On top of that, it gave members a chance to experience motorsport in a completely new way both on track and behind the scenes.

Winning this award is a reflection of the effort that went into making the trip happen, as well as the impact it had on everyone involved. It’s not just about the race itself, but the overall experience, the teamwork, the atmosphere, and the memories made along the way.

It was a great night for the society and a nice way to recognise how far things have come over the past year.

With this behind us, we’re already looking ahead to what’s next, and how we can make the next trip even bigger and better.
