Wolves acheived great success on the 21st September by placing second overall in the Metalman Polo competition. It was a great day of poloing with a sunny morning on the water. People were very eager to get on the water and surprisingly the matches were prompt and on schedule, so we were already off to an amazing start!

We played our first match against DCU giving us a challenging start to our day. The match resulted in a win for DCU with a score of 2-8. They certainly kept us on our toes, but our heads were in the game for our next matches. These were full of fun and great vibes. However, we faced another tough match, this time against Galway ending with a tie. We had an fun game against WIT resulting in a win for Wolves 3-1. This was followed by an impressive game from our team, beating the Metalman polo team 6 nil.

After this game we came back fighting in the semi-finals to take the lead against Galway, and thankfully we succeeded with a score 2-1. With such a successful day of polo we found ourselves in the final! We played for the win against DCU. The match was a challenge for both teams-defence was strong from the wolves with a powerful and attack from DCU. However, after such a tough game DCU took the lead with a score 5-2. Although this was an unfortunate loss for Wolves, overall it was a great day for the team. We got to show off the skill which we’ve been working very hard on, whilst having a great time getting to know other polo teams. Once again, we can say that this was a wonderful achievement for our team!
