Hello everyone!
As promised, we are releasing the date of our Annual General Meeting 2020!
The meeting is planned to take place on the 1st of October 2020 via Zoom call. All members of the society will receive an invite link via email before the event, and they will receive a copy of the agenda for the night so that you can read it prior to coming along!
The meeting will cover two main topics:
Every society will have a committee of student volunteers who fulfill different roles to help run a society. These students are members of the society who are elected to the committee by the rest of the members. At this meeting YOU will have the opportunity to get involved and join our committee! Everyone who was on the committee last year steps down at the AGM. We will be looking to fill the following positions:
1x President
1x Secretary
1x Treasurer
2x Health and Safety Officers
3x Events Officers
2x Trips Officers
2x Public Relations Officers
If you would like to run for any of these positions, make sure you have paid your membership fee and you will receive a copy of the AGM agenda prior to the AGM meeting with instructions on how the elections will run during the meeting! We can't recommend joining the committee enough, it is so rewarding and so much fun and there is a job for everyone!
2. Our upcoming events schedule reveals
We are going to be releasing some of our upcoming events at this meeting. You will be able to find out about our plans for the semester, where we're going to go on our trips, and much, much more! Although it won't be a full event schedule, as we don't have our trips and events officers elected yet, we have planned some events to kick-start the year ahead of the election of our events and trips teams who will work on the rest of this year's events!
It's going to be a night to remember, and we can't wait to meet you all! We hope you're excited!
Be sure to pay your membership fee to become a member of the society BEFORE the event so that you get an email notification about the zoom meeting and the agenda. You can pay your membership fee next week on the UL Wolves website (online payments will be set up by then) or via our Paypal account (see our other news post on www.ulwolves.ie/international for more information on Paypal payments)
If you need any more questions, catch us on our social media platforms!

Hello everyone! We're so excited to see the great interest levels being expressed already from you all in joining the society! We can't wait to welcome you all.
As you all may know, we are currently moving towards an online payment method for membership fees for clubs and societies to minimise the handling of money and gathering of people to help stop the spread of COVID-19. This method of payment is not yet available on the UL Wolves website, and until then you can pay your membership fee of €5 via PayPal.
When you send us €5 by PayPal, make sure that the name you have signed up with on UL Wolves is visible on the PayPal transaction, then, a committee member will approve your membership request! Get in touch with us on any of our social media platforms below if we can be of any more assistance!
*PLEASE NOTE: Please uncheck the button stating that you are paying for a service or product, as this causes PayPal to take a fee from what we receive to cover insurance, and we will only end up receiving €4.43!
You can find our PayPal here: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/ulintsoc

Hello everyone, and a very warm welcome to you all from the International Society!
We know that over the last number of weeks a brand new cohort of international students have been arriving in Ireland in advance of this academic year as you all have chosen to study at the University of Limerick - and we're so excited to welcome you all!
We are the UL International Society, and have been focused on helping international students make the most of their time at the university for over a decade! Just like every other club and society that you will find under the UL Wolves umbrella, we are run by students, some of us are full-time Irish students, and some of you will also get the opportunity to join our committee and help run the society this year!
Just to give you all a general introduction on the types of activities that we normally work on during the year, here is a list of what we have done in past years:
This year we are faced with a pandemic, however, and whilst we aim to host as many of these events as possible, this year, we will have to adapt. Our trips might lessen as travel is still slightly restricted around Ireland, TGIF won't be like it used to be with the restrictions that have been placed on bars, and we will have to monitor all of our other events carefully, too. That said, we have no plans to stop bringing the world together, and we will be bringing new and improved, COVID-19 safe events to the campus of UL soon!
Our first event is always our Annual General Meeting (AGM) where we will elect our new committee members to run the society, give a calendar of events to our members and get to know each other! We are still planning our AGM for this year, but be sure to check back here and on our social media channels over the next few weeks to keep in the loop and be notified when our AGM is announced! You don't want to miss the opportunity to get involved on a committee level, find out what we have planned for the upcoming semester, and meet your fellow members!
You should be able to start requesting membership on this website after you have made an account, our membership fee is €5 and it gives you access to all of our events and trips that we have planned for this upcoming semester. Irish students, you are also all more than welcome to get involved, it's a great way to meet people from all over the globe! :)

Once again, we extend our warmest welcomes to all of our new international wolves and can't wait to meet you all. Céad míle fáilte - a thousand welcomes!

We're planning something really special this Christmas. Just in time for you before you go home, get your hands on a very limited edition pin badge that we have designed as a cheap souvenir for you to take with you as a memory of all you got up to in Ireland. Originally intended for sale next semester, they have arrived early and we would love to give you all the opportunity to get one before you head home.
The badges are only €2, and what's more, we're giving all proceeds to the C&S chosen charities this year. It's a great way to take something home with you that made an impact on your life, and to make an impact on the lives of people who need the extra bit of cash to help their charities prosper and for them to keep doing what they do.
The ONLY opportunity to get your hands on a badge in Semester 1 is at TGIF Farewell on the 6th of December. Hope you can make it!

We are looking for people enthusiastic about photography, videography, video editing etc and also for people who just like to capture the world through their lens. This trip will be €15 and it will be a gorgeous trip! You will not want to miss this. We will be going to Lady's View, Torc Waterfall, and the lovely city of Killarney! One thing we recommend if you like nerdy things such as Lord of the Rings, is the pub called The Shire! It is like stepping into the set of Lord of the Rings :D
